THE NATURE
The Bruce Peninsula is home to over 44 varieties of Orchids, and some of the oldest cedar trees in North America. The "Bruce" is on the migration route for many birds - and spring and fall finds some of them at your bird feeder. Hummingbirds spend their summers feeding from your garden or feeders. The Bruce is home to lot's of other wildlife such as deer, bear, lynx, bald eagles, and coyotes.

THE WATER
The waters surrounding the home are crystal clear - they are some of the cleanest waters in Southern Ontario. Salmon and Lake trout are fished from the bay in waters that drop to over 100' from the shore - these fish are also cleaner than most fish in Southern Ontario - having a lower mercury count than there neighbors in the Great Lakes. Kayakers, canoeists an sailor's all find the striking limestone cliffs of the escarpment a perfect setting , while power boats can find their own space in the uncrowded waters of the Bay. Lion's Head marina is located close to the Whippoorwil Rd.
